It is also easy to walk in and out of Galway if you are okay with a 30 min walk. Would recommend bringing earplugs if staying on the weekend, as the courtyard was loud in the late night hours with people coming back from pubs. "

"Good for 18 yr olds who want to party … noise 24 hours a day and loud! Forget sleep. Individual dorm rooms with double bed against a wall … tough for 2 people. We booked a 3 bed/3 bath thinking it would be an appt … it was 5 dorm bedrooms - we could access 3 and a common room. No one else with us but as it cost more than a hotel .. far from worth it. Would not recommend unless you’re a young adult looking to stay up. Also no amenities… 2 towels, no hair dryer. "

"Right in the heart of Galway. Glad there was air conditioning so we didnt have to open window since it was the hopping part of Galway. "

"The area of town is nothing special, but we enjoyed watching rugby practice at the adjacent pitch. Two issues were the shower; the pressure was good but the design is poor. There was water all over the floor afterwards. The second issue was really poor service in the restaurant, both at dinner and at breakfast. Apparently, being short handed is an issue outside of the US as well. "

"I am very impressed with this hotel ! My room was spacious and spotlessly clean. The staff throughout this hotel are exceptionally helpful and pleasant which gives practical expression to the concept of "Irish Hospitality." Nathan and Lorraine are outstanding breakfast hosts! Lorraine is very attentive to the requirements of every guest during the breakfast service. She is proactive and should be commended for the value she brings to the business of the hotel. Shanna and Mia provide prompt and obliging service in the Bistro which makes the dining experience most enjoyable. Zeo provides exemplary room service. The receptionist who greeted me on arrival provided an unbeatable welcome! It would be nice if the check in time could be amended to 3pm instead of 4pm which is customary in most hotels. I have never stayed at a Clayton Hotel before but based on this experience, I shall be considering staying in their UK hotels. "

"This hotel is perfectly located a block from the train station and a short walk to the main shopping area. We did stay during an unusually hot time and they do not have air conditioning. However, the front desk did whatever they could to try to make us feel comfortable (provided two fans). We stayed in the room with a queen and one twin bed (3 adults) and there wasn’t a lot of wiggle room but did the job! "

"This is a great hotel! We've stayed in this area every year and have never stayed here until this year. They were super helpful in changing our room so that we could get air conditioning due to the hot weather. We had a spacious room with a balcony facing the bay. They have a great buffet breakfast (all the fixings for a full Irish breakfast, plus fruit, pastries, cereal, pancakes, etc). Both my mom and I are lactose intolerant so we were appreciative of the milk alternatives and the allergen info on the foods. Lots of parking and so many cute little nooks to sit and read. We almost wished we had one rainy day to take advantage. Would definitely want to stay there again!"
