"This motel was so cozy and homey that I wanted to stay another night. The hosts were so friendly and welcoming. The room was very clean and had all the amenities to keep me from being homesick. I felt comfortable and safe and the price was very reasonable. I highly recommend Motel Tipton!"

"It was neat to stay in a historic property. In a Quality Inn or Comfort Inn style hotel, the thick carpeting would have been suspicious regarding cleanliness, but it was nice here. I would have liked to see formal photos and a description display about this property, like in a museum."

"First off, I just want to say the staff running the place was very helpful and courteous but in the first room we were given, 2 of the lamps werent working which we found out were outlet issues. We were offered a second room which I thought would be better. Not so, the door did not lock, the hair dryer didn't work, the toilet cover was broken, there was a squishy part in the floor of the bathroom and both rooms didn't smell very good. We asked to have the manager call us about these issues the next day but that never happened. I will never stay at a Super 8 again. "

"The Mont Rest Inn owner and staff are the most hospitable and gracious people. The rooms and the entire house was in pristine condition. Breakfast was amazing!! The history of the Inn is tremendously interesting. Wonderful stay!! "
