"It’s a holiday inn so you know what you’re getting. The room wasn’t so bad, nice bathrooms and not many options in that area for foreigners. My issue is they were doing construction and it wasn’t mentioned when I booked. One of the days they shut off the power while I was in the building. The first day they were repaying and messed up my brand new shoes. My wife and I had cement on our stuff. Was insanely dusty and dirty because of construction. "Breakfast was fantastic, but the executive lounge could have offered better food. The light dinner and snacks were a bit of a miss — not just for me, as some of the dishes were barely touched every night. Overall, the staff was excellent, the rooms were clean, and while the hotel may be a little dated, the location is fantastic. We had just come from staying at the W Shanghai - The Bund in a suite on the 33rd floor, so perhaps my expectations were set a little high. That said, this was still a very nice hotel in a great location and offered good value for the money."
