"The room was very clean and well maintained. It lacked tea and coffee making facilities in the room and there was no air con so very hot although they did provide a fan. The breakfast was lovely with a range of choice. It suited us perfectly for visiting Europa Parc. It was also very quiet at night. Good location for trains and a lovely Italian restaurant at the end of the road."
"This was our second time staying at the hotel after having one night stopover a couple of years ago.We really loved it then so this time didn’t have any doubts when booking.I just didn’t realise that last time I had booked premium rooms and this time I’ve booked standard ones instead. They would have been great for one night but for three days we found them a little bit too small and not very comfortable especially with kids.No fridge in the rooms too which was inconvenient.Beds were ok,additional pillows too.
Our rooms were overlooking the main road so a little bit noisy at some point and as there are the parking bays just under the windows- lot of talking from people parking there too.
Great breakfast with many selections of food.Breakfast could become quite busy in the mornings and finding a set up and clean table was a challenge .
There’s a parking for additional fee that needs to be booked in advance which is handy(we knew this from previous time but after reading the reviews from other people so keep that in mind).
The rooms were tidied and cleaned to some degree daily.Bin hasn’t been emptied until the second day although it was almost completely full on the first one.The shower gel/shampoo was over when we checked in and hasn’t been replaced/topped up until we left. There were some hairs on the bathroom floors that haven’t been cleaned at all and made it look not very appealing.
Otherwise staff at reception and at breakfast area was helpful."
"Lots of nice little touches such as free tea and coffee in lobby and free popcorn. Room was stylish, clean and well-appointed. We chose the hotel because the room had both air con and a fridge. Situated close to the rail station. Only disappointment was breakfast which was very average and not really worth the 20 euros it cost in terms of both quality and variety of offering. Looked to be the best hotel in Ringsheim."
"This is a well priced hotel (particularly compared to city centre hotels) conveniently placed on the edge of the city. There are no thrills, not even a kettle in the room. But it is right next to the tram on a direct 15 minute line into the city centre. The trams run frequently, even later at night.
A weird interaction checking in. We arrived before checking in time, but asked anyway if we could check in. Without even checking if our rooms were ready we were told no. We pointed we had two rooms booked just as a second request, so the person on reception checked her computer and then decided we could check in as the rooms were ready. Strange.
Beds were very comfortable, air conditioning and opening windows. The hotel was fine for what we wanted."
"It's a decent hotel in Freiburg. Positives are it was air conditioned (though not too cool), pet friendly, central location and has car park (note, I drive a Ford Ranger pick-up and it was very tight in the underground car park - don't even attempt anything bigger).
Main gripe was at check-in (which took nearly 30mins after a very long drive). Matey tried to charge me double the confirmed Expedia rate as he claimed that my 17 year old son should pay adult rate when Expedia shows <18 yr olds as children. He then told me the hotel was fully booked out if I didn't pay the excessive rate and it was my fault for not knowing Novotel see 16+ as adults. Cue much discussion and then he eventually placated. Other guy on desk tapped on the computer next to him pretending not to notice the long cue forming behind me. Not a great experience on that front but otherwise ok."
"This was a great stay, I was a bit nervous based on recent reviews, but I found the staff to be helpful, the room was clean and a good size, with air conditioning, and we were able to use the luggage room before check in / after check out. The 12PM checkout time was also appreciated. Based on the cost for 3 nights compared with other hotels, this was very good value and I would happily recommend and stay again. Things to note: one water provided, not replenished (we used tap water after this), limited toiletries (just hand soap / combo shampoo body wash in the shower, but we had our own)."
"Extremely quiet soundproof room, comfortable beds, one of the best nights sleep I’ve had in a long time.
Helpful staff, close to Diagem station and easy to get into Brussels central. Nothing to dislike at all."
