"Positives: The hotel was clean. Breakfast suited 3 of the 4 members of our family.
Negatives: The experience was disappointing. The front desk staff was consistently brusque, and the property itself has some awkward layout quirks.
The major issue was a prolonged power outage. We returned to the hotel hours after it began and had not been notified in advance. At that point, we were told conditions were unsafe and that we needed to find alternative accommodations. The hotel did not assist with this process in any meaningful way.
We had to navigate completely dark hallways with our children, gather our belongings from rooms without power, and carry luggage down stairs multiple flights in the dark to exit the building. Throughout this, staff focused primarily on payment rather than guest safety or support. Communication was inconsistent, and other arriving guests appeared equally confused.
Despite the situation, staff pressed for city tax payment before we could leave and later contacted us at our new hotel to pursue immediate payment. The overall handling of the situation felt disorganized and lacking in basic guest care and courtesy.
Overall: If everything goes smoothly, this hotel may be fine. But when something goes wrong, the support and responsiveness fall short."
