I remember coming here with Cyrill that afternoon. It was December. Cold. Gray. And the motorbike drive was slow and inconvenient. I had one backpack, one sling bag, four pairs of footwear, 50,000 dong, and a busted ATM card.

But this is probably one of the best afternoons I had in Vietnam regardless, not to mention all the other ones spent drinking espresso at cozy coffee shops in Thai Nguyen.

At this point, I am missing everything and everyone I have had in Vietnam! Quite #nostalgic.

The room was clean. Staff were friendly and helpful. The location is perfect to get that very authentic downtown Vietnam vibe! Lots of small shops, people busy on the streets, selling everything, and many food stands! Amazing cultural immersion. The hotel is small, but the room was great. King size bed. I had a room facing the back of the hotel. There was no view - a concrete wall of the next door building. But, that was good because the noise on the street was non-stop. Sirens, horns, music. The bed was firm, but I still slept very well. The hotel is within walking distance to the lake and the train that goes by very close - a must see tour!
