Top Avalon Hotel Reviews
Hotel Metropole
10/10 Excellent
"Our room was clean and well apportioned. Great towels, toiletries and equipment. The location was ideal. Short walking distance to boardwalk, great restaurants, tours and rentals. Initially was concerned with the shops & bowling alley being too close, but had no problems whatsoever. The staff was very helpful and supportive. Check in was simple and check out was great. Another big plus was the continental breakfast! I was impressed with the variety of items they provided. Will return next time!"
Catalina Canyon Inn
10/10 Excellent
"Room was nice, hotel was nice, but the staff was incredible! Kind, helpful, went above and beyond. We'll be coming back here! Shuttle was really easy to use and frequent, restaurant was great."
Hotel St. Lauren
8/10 Good
"Very conveniently located, 5 minute downhill walk to the water; one block away from a grocery store. In room air conditioning is a bit dated. Does NOT include breakfast despite what Hotels.com is stating."
El Terado Terrace

"Stay was great will stay again clean property and friendly staff"
Studio 9 Hotel Catalina
8/10 Good
"My expectations were low, after reading many other reviews, so I was pleasantly surprised. Our room was nicely furnished, with vintage/antique feeling furniture. Nice small bathroom. Overlooked the hills behind the hotel... a nice distant view. We arrived in the morning, and the front desk woman said we could leave our bags until checkin, and would text us if we could get an early checkin. She did text us around 1 pm that we could check in, but we were busy so didn't come back until normal checkin time. After checkout, we again left our bags in the lobby (with many others) until our afternoon ferry. I liked the building and front porch. My only complaint is that there was no coffee anywhere, either in the lobby or in our room. Otherwise, a short and sweet stay. The hotel was closer to the waterfront than I expected. It is toward the end of town, as you approach the Casino, and a short walk up a steep street. As long as you are comfortable walking, it's quick access to anything along the waterfront. Pulling our wheel suitcases was no problem for us."
