Probably the most beautiful and peaceful accommodation in Sri Lanka. Stunning resort architecturally designed keeping heritage to the fore and set high in beautiful hilltop location surrounded by forests. The large swimming pool presenting just the right level of luxury for an evening or morning dip. The professional and friendly staff were always on hand but never imposing. First class meals and service in the restaurant or a romantic dinner for two on each villas' roofed patio. As the norm in Sri Lanka had to ask for hand towels. All i all fabulous value for money. This is a great model for all accommodation in any location in the world.

Pænt sted og dejligt værelse, fantastisk udsigt og pool. Maden er dog ikke særligt god, og det ligger langt væk fra Kandy af snørklede veje. Servicen er lidt mærkelig - personalet er sådan set høflige, men de forstår alt for ofte ikke, hvad man siger (på engelsk).

Greatest stay in Sri Lanka

It was what we expected. We had a great time with privacy on two romantic nights together. The foods were excellent -- Sri Lankan and western food. All meals were served at hugely generous portions. Staffs are helpful and polite. Wish I would stay there again.

Relax and enjoy the tranquil vista

Excellent food and service, location was just what we needed to relax. Great big swimming pool for the kids and a in-room spa bath for the adults.

Tolle historische Bausubstanz im Dschungel

Koennte schoen sein. Aber Zimmer sind dunkel und muffig. Eine Bauruine um den Pool sorgt fuer etwas gespenstige Stimmung. Lage ist toll- allerdings weit weg von Kandy ( zu weit). Personal ist jedoch super, mit das Beste was wir auf unserer Reise angetroffen haben! Das SriLanka Essen und die Pasta waren auch super.

Wir hatten einen wundervollen Aufenthalt dort, das Personal war sehr freundlich und hat das ganze zu einem schönen Abschluss unserer Sri Lankareise gemacht. Wir waren für zwei Nächte dort, das Essen ist sehr empfehlenswert. Besonders gut hat uns die Führung durch den Garten gefallen, über Obst und Gewürze wurde dabei viel Wissenswertes erzählt und man durfte immer auch probieren :) die poolanlage ist echt schön und man hat eine tolle Aussicht in den Jungel. es ist sehr außerhalb und sehr ruhig, aber unbedingt den Abstecher wert... wunderbar entspannend!

Tastefully luxury value for money

Amazing place in old colonial villa. Big clean cottages, beautiful setting in garden with spices, herbs and fruits. The young energetic manager were kind to take us on a two hour walk among farms og rice paddys, tasting spices and seeing kingfisher birds, turtles and lizards. Nice pool and beautiful view over the tea valley. In the morning just birds chipping away and in the evening crickets and fireflies+the a few dogs barking. Great breakfast and attentive staff. Their evening menu might have western/Chinese food, but do ask for the sri Lankan food, as it is much better. It is 30 min. drive from stressfull Kandy, but for the very reasonable price, they charge here (compared to similar places) you can also hire a driver to transport you anywhere you want. A hidden gem IMHO.
