"Parking was easy and nearby. The room was mostly clean if not a little shabby…the couch. Flooring in bedroom did not match up to threshold in bathroom. Air conditioning worked but was very loud in the bedroom. Front desk staff was friendly and helpful…when they were there which was infrequent. Best attribute of the hotel was it’s proximity to downtown and especially the Spoonbill restaurant across the street."

"Carpet in hallway and room are old. Stained. Bathroom cabinet legs rusted and ugly. Outside the building is filled with pot smell. Breakfast isn’t breakfast. It is snack and not fresh at all. No bottled water in the rooms; you have to purchase water from the vending machine in the office. But for the price of the stay, it is ok. You get what you pay for , sometimes "

"Had a check-in glitch when I was given they key to an occupied room. Staff quickly fixed but was a bit frustrating after a long day of driving. Room was simple but clean.Easy parking and close to interstate. We did not eat breakfast so can't rate. "

"Absolutely beautiful and very interesting historical hotel. We loved everything about it - the staff were fantastic and knowledgeable about the area / history, the property and rooms are wonderful and the breakfast was perfect. A unique memorable stay and a great location "

"Even though this place was obviously an older building, their rooms were very updated and comfortable. Wonderful place for a pet. My recommendation is take a piece of that space by the big trees and fence it in so the dogs can run a little. Only complaint, could not get WiFi to connect. But is nice place for the price. "

"First room bedsheets stained so moved to another one. Second room better although still some marks on sheets. Towels very clean. Plaster fallen onto windowsill. TV not working...young man on desk offered another room but it was late so we declined. Very effective air conditioning. Hot water barely hot Convenient location near interstate, choice of restaurants and easy parking. Low cost. Drove to Lake Martin...loved it. "
