"We stayed at St Moritz in July while in town for the Aspen Valley Marathon and had a mixed experience. The staff were all fantastic. Very friendly with lots of great advice on getting around town and recommended restaurants and activities. The pool (heated to around 90 degrees) and surrounding lawn are both beautiful and we spent a lot of time enjoying both. Like a lot of older buildings in the mountains, the property doesn't have air conditioning. We visited during a heat wave and even with a ceiling and window fan, our room stayed warm well into the night. Again, not the fault of the property but something to consider if you visit in the summer and like to sleep in a chilly room. The biggest issue we encountered was at check-in. When we opened the door to our room, the top door hinge literally pulled out of the wall making the door impossible to close. The staff were very apologetic and were able to fix the door in about 30 minutes but this maintenance issue should have been caught and fixed before our arrival."
