"Quick check in, we asked for a room at the back, we were given room 8. Nice room, comfy bed, pillows a little flat. Lovely shower room with waterfall shower, nice toiletries. It was a very hot day when we checked in, so the room of course was hot, we opened the windows. Had our meal in the hotel, we shared a ploughman's platter with a couple of extra sides which was very nice. Also bought a bottle of wine. We sat outside after the meal to look at the lovely view. We'd brought an extra fan so slept pretty well. We chose our breakfast the night before, which was delivered at our chosen time. As the weather was good again, sat outside with it. We both had the overnight oats with fruit, l prefer mine with yoghurt, but we also had cereal, a croissant, juice and a banana. Missed having a tea or coffee with it. Good stay."

"I loved being here and plan to go back soon. It's idyllic. Beautifully kept and presented; with very kind and professional staff. I didnt know what time the event I was attending nearby would end; and as soon as I came back they brought me a wonderful platter of fish and much more. Saying theyd rather I had it prepared freshly than keep it waiting. Beside a river, in glorious, quiet countryside with the dramatic fells above; I can't wait to stay longer and explore the area. Can't recommend highly enough."

"First time staying at the green dragon and definitely won’t be the last. The room was lovely, well furnished and really clean. The staff were all really friendly and the food was delicious and very well priced. The tv in the room was modern and huge and had all of the streaming stuff on it. Saved me having to take a fire stick or anything which I appreciated. In the morning we walked the trail to see the beautiful hardraw force waterfall which is part of their site and it was a beautiful end to a great stay. Would highly recommend to anyone. The only thing I would add is the car park is slightly small (but free) and if it’s full you have to park on the road. Wouldn’t put me off at all. It’s a brilliant place."
