"No warm welcome or attempt to say about hotel or breakfast. Key put on counter and pointed to lifts. Breakfast next day very poor. Two out the four hot plates were empty and staff made no attempt to refill. Cups missing for coffee machine, each person had to ask for a cup! Breakfast very basic and I opted for breakfast out on the second morning. Restaurant is a cafe not a restaurant- basic menu and soft drinks only. Restaurant staff are much nice than main hotel staff. On check out, man at reception didn’t even look up L, just took key card, I had to ask twice is all ok and he just waved me away. Could be a good hotel but 2* at best as staff on reception don’t care. Plus hotel lacks real hotel amenities. This is NOT a hotel for Western European visitors, its is for local staying for a pre flight nights bed and breakfast. That is what they cater for and make it clear others aren’t welcome."

"Hotel was well maintained and room was clean and well equipped. Staff we’re helpful and pleasant to deal with. Location is in a nice area, but a good 30 minutes walk to the Kadikoy and Moda market and restaurants."

"The carpet is very dirty and we have problems with AC but everything else was good specially the buffet was amazing food and friendly staff."

"We’ve had a fantastic stay at Selectum City Ataşehir so far. The service has been amazing from the moment we arrived. Everyone has been welcoming, professional, and very attentive. The room was spotless when we checked in, and housekeeping has kept everything incredibly clean throughout our stay. One thing we really appreciated was that the staff spoke great English, which made everything much easier for us. The Wi Fi has also been fast and reliable the entire time, which is a huge plus when traveling. If possible, definitely book a suite. Having two bathrooms was such an underrated luxury and made a big difference in comfort and convenience. The water pressure in the showers is excellent as well, which honestly made it feel even more relaxing after long days out in Istanbul. Overall, this hotel has exceeded our expectations in every way, and we would absolutely stay here again."

"I had surgery and specifically requested a non smoking room prior to check in. Upon arriving to my room, it smelt like cigarette - so the front desk accommodated a room change. The second room also smelt heavily of smoke, and upon requesting for the third time a non-smoking room, I was told the best they can do is to “spray the carpet”. Due to complications second hand smoke can have on bleeding and other surgical risks, I couldn’t even stay my first night. I had to check out within a few hours and the hotel is refusing to provide a refund, even though it was for legitimate medical reasons. They are saying I “refused” a room change, however, it would’ve been my third time changing rooms. At that point is what made clear, no matter which room they put me in, it’s simply not a smoke free hotel, and a “non smoking room” was wrongfully advertised. I am now out $400 and they refuse to refund me. "

"We had an amazing stay at this beautiful hotel. It is in a quiet street but very close to the centre of town. The staff were all lovely and accomodating. The breakfast was phenomenal. Would definitely recommend for a peaceful weekend away from the bustle of Istanbul. "
