"Cute but a little cramped… for the configuration of room we booked (family room for 4). Lovely location and great staff - a painfully slow lift, which you are forewarned about!"

"Room very clean, staff very helpful as we had our mums wake there. Lovely lady on the front desk, and a lovely lad in the bar and restaurant named Jaydon I think. Breakfast very good, lots of choices. Surrounding gardens and area lovely walks and Leeds castle very special. Only thing is letting it down is the carpets are very dirty going up to the rooms, the changing rooms near the swimming pool, really in need of an update, part of the ceiling looks like its coming down over the pool area, they need a swimsuit spinner too, to bring it up to 20th century, I feel that the whole building just needs a lot of TLC"

"The property is outstanding. Absolutely outstanding. This has got to be one of my all time fav hotels. And the spa was the cherry on top. I stayed in a manor luxe room - beautiful! The staff are busy, so don’t expect anything quick. Shambolic is a good way to explain the staffing! The lady behind the bar needs customer service training. Her huffing and puffing was not appreciated when ordering drinks. Above all, even with the shambolic faulty tower style staff I loved my stay!"

"Absolutely gorgeous hotel and the perfect location for exploring Canterbury! ❤️ The Abode is literally in the heart of the city, with everything right on your doorstep and within easy walking distance. The hotel itself was beautiful, and the staff were incredibly polite, accommodating and helpful throughout our stay. Nothing was too much trouble, and we felt really welcomed. Had a lovely stay and would definitely recommend The Abode to anyone visiting Canterbury! ✨"
