"I am very disappointed that this hotel advertises an indoor pool and yet it was closed. We were told it was going to be repaired the evening we got there (Monday) and it was never even touched by Wednesday when we left. After reading further into the reviews I’ve seen so many say that even back as far as January the pool was not operational. They should place a notice and discount their price accordingly. You pay for the indoor pool during the cooler seasons. Not to mention the fact that this is zoo town and people bring kids who are promised an indoor pool at a hotel on zoo trips. What a true heartbreak for them. Not to mention the fact that the tv has two channel options for cartoons neither of which are wholesome. Not kid friendly on breakfast either. I think the management staff really need to really why this hotel is even in asheboro. It is definitely not for anything other than the zoo I assure you. I’m sure others stay however I guarantee the majority is zoo related. I feel like if this hotel was more kid friendly for its purpose it would receive a five star rating from me. It was clean and staff was polite. Your money comes from families and yet it is the least family friendly I’ve ever seen. "
"WARNING!!! Be careful when making reservations at this place. This hotel has a NO CANCELLATION and a NO REBOOKING policy. I found this out when I needed to change the dates of my stay. I ended up paying TWICE and I'm sure they rented my room for the night I was supposed to be there. Classic double-dipping.
I tried to talk to the owner and he was never in (of course) Hotels.com also tried to remedy the situation for me and the owner never returned their calls. "
"i booked a room for one night through expedia. As soon as the booking was made, i realized the date was one day prior to when i needed it. Made for 4.6-4.7 but needed it for 4.7-4.8. i immediately reached out to the hotel to cancel/adjust, but they pointed me to expedia. They reached out to the hotel who said that i would be billed anyway and couldn't be cancelled. this was 10 days in advance of reservation. i continued to press and was told by Expedia that it was the hotel that would not allow a refund or rescheduling. NEVER EVEN CHECKED IN. I NEED A REFUND!!!"
"The breakfast was adequate but not great, the pancake maker wasn't working and the choices were limited. The pool was closed due to the season. You will need to ask for room cleaning and linens of you wish. Overall it was a good experience and the place was very clean, the staff were great, and the area was nice. "
"Staff was super friendly and attentive. Excellent amenties for the price. Pool and hot tub was clean and enjoyable. Property was undergoing construction and was loud throughout the day. We were out most of the day, anyhow. Beds were not comfortable and the pillows were mediocre. "
