"We loved our stay at The Kanzashi in Asakusa. We had literally no issues at all. The room was very comfortable and had everything we needed. As is standard across Japan, the room was on the smaller side, but we had a Twin room and there was more than plenty of room for us to get around.
The rooftop area is quite literally a cherry on top. The view is beautiful from up there. You can even have a snack or bring a lunch up there on a nice day and enjoy the view.
The staff were helpful on all the occasions we approached them and were happy to provide recommendations to the area and services provided.
We also really enjoyed the area the hotel is located in. Besides the Senso-Ji temple being few steps away, there are plenty of stores and restaurants to explore and we had only positive experiences with all the locals.
Lastly, I’ve seen some reviews which state that the hotel is too far away from the station. I feel like that is very American complaint. The hotel is maybe 15 minutes away from a well connected metro station and the area is highly walkable and very pretty. It was absolutely no problem for us to walk that distance, despite the fact that my dad is on the waiting list for hip replacement. That really just goes to show that the walk is not that bad.
I will be recommending The Kanzashi to anyone asking for hotel recommendationsz in the future and will definitely be booking again."
