"The room was really clean. Air conditioning not working, no phone in room and no internet even though multiple passwords were given at front desk. Shower not working. Mini fridge disgustingly dirty. Had to drive up 4 times to front desk and complain. After 5 hours of complaints, we were changed to another room. Still no AC, just a ceiling fan that did not suffice. No tv remote controls and no phone access in this room. Floor from bathroom had debris from tiles from Ceiling in bathroom On the second day, we were not told of a scheduled pool maintenance but was told it was going to be ready by midday…..still at 9pm it wasn’t ready. Yes they state they have 7 pools but the main pool was much more convenient as two others are located down many many steps down a hill and difficulty to get to due to health reasons - the other 4 had no water, lol. Staff very courteous - food was amazing. Manager offered a free cocktail after many complaints (wow) thank you. After manager finding out that I was the one taking her parking spot, we spoke briefly and she offered two more nights. We were done and over it already after two nights and left. Will not stay here again!"
"If you want tranquility and being alone, this is the place very nice very beautiful and the accommodations in wooden hut with skylights overlooking the forest and balconies very nice. Over the cons are it limited dining in the dining hall the pool is really a big bathtub and barely heated so they have guests it fills up quickly. There is no pamphlet or what to do or hiking trails so basically on your own and they’re far away from the river and from other things hard to find limited Eng. that’s an issue for any guest. Most of all you can see in nearly stages. Staff are not well trained so the service is spotty. One day may be worth the price of charging but today it isn’t."
"I would read about 2 1/2 to 3 star. The pro was a very nice pool and a nice whirlpool nice dining area. The cons are it’s a dated facility no more than 2 1/2 star overlooking in the parking lot in the middle of an area where there’s almost nothing to do. Also staff training there is no activity nothing. Just limited for those who need the language. Most of all even the hot tub or nice. I was there two days and those are there no clear or very little cleaning so the whole bottoms are covenant leaves and dirt."
"The views and the room were a 10 out of 10. The owner and manager were friendly and tried to make our visit enjoyable. However, there were numerous issues with the resort. Firstly, you need a 4 wheel drive to reach the resort. We had to park our car at the bottom of the hill at the side of the road. The owner had to come get us and bring us to the resort. Each unit has a small hot tub we were excited to use but the water was cold and unusable since they are on solar. The main pool and hot tub were green and unkept. There are dogs on sight and although they are cute they sat outside our room (as we were the only guests) at night barking and fighting. It took several calls, texts and hours for them to take the dogs away. I think this place has a lot of potential but for the price it was a disappointment. We only stayed one of two nights since the rains were making the road to the resort impassable and we worried we would be stuck in the muddy lane. We asked the owner for a refund for the second night and he did not respond. Expedia however sided with us stating the resort description was lacking important information. If you want to stay in a geodesic dome choose The Domes. It is pricier but is well kept, has a restaurant and all amenities work as stated. They are also located just outside of Jaracaboa, so close to many attractions."
