I spent five nights at the Brucefield Boutique B&B in Arbroath, Angus and thoroughly enjoyed my stay. Situated in the quiet neighborhood of Cliffburn road, Victoria Park Beach and the Arbroath cliffs arr close by. The owners (Anita and Ursf) were lovely, very attentive and very kind. The breakfast was delicious every morning. The B&B is a quiet, well decorated and furnished large house with a small living area with a big DVD/CD collection, good size breakfast room. I stayed in the Kilchurn Castle (ground floor) room which was big good with lots of space and a very comfortable bed. The bathroom was big, very clean and the shower is by far the best shower I've ever used in a hotel room (I still think about it); it was like having a massage every day, very relaxing and refreshing after a long walk. However, one very disappointing thing was my room had a very weak 4G mobile signal and getting WiFi was almost impossible. Which meant that making phone calls or using the Internet (hotel or personal) was very unreliable. I managed to make a few phone calls and get some Internet usage but barely enough to watch videos over 480p on YouTube or play online games on my Nintendo Switch. I wouldn't recommend the Kilchurn Castle room if you're staying for work, but it good for accessibility. The Arbroath bus and train stations are a 20 minute walk down the Cliffburn hill from the B&B. Travel is relatively cheap and easy to understand; there is also a high street shops on the way

The room and bed were very comfortable, the breakfast was to order and delicious. The owners were lovely! Lots of little touches that made the stay very nice…I will be back I’m sure.

Urs and Anita were excellent hosts, very friendly & helpful. We felt well looked after. Very nice property with comfortable room and facilities and in excellent location. Only a few minutes walk from seafront. Will certainly stay here again if ever back in Arbroath.

Very accommodating owners; allowed me to leave my car all the next day after check-out very early in the morning. Not far from town centre. Off-street parking felt quiet/safe for car & bike. I would definitely stay here again if in Arbroath; and would definitely recommend to others. (Staying for "Ride the North" cycling event.)

This was the nicest Bed and Breakfast we have ever stayed in. The owners went over and above to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. The mansion was beautiful and classically decorated. The breakfast was truly gourmet and plentiful. We highly recommend the Brucefield.

A glowing review!

The property is beautiful, inside and out! The owners are friendly, helpful and seem to love that they do! The house is amazing, the rooms are updated and very comfortable. Breakfast is lovely and flawless. They recommended two great places to have dinner. The house is located within strolling distance of the coastal cliff trail, and a must-see. The trail also brings you right into town. When it came time to depart, the owner brought me to the train station personally rather than call a taxi. What a treat this place was! I can't recommend this property highly enough!

The details

We had a wonderful break at the B&B for a number of reasons, the couple who own it were so welcoming, the amenities were brilliant and every detail has been thought of. It’s amazing they’ve only been running for just over a year. We were visiting for The Open so missed breakfast two days but were offered cereals whenever we needed it and there was already fresh orange juice and milk in our room. When we did manage to have breakfast it was delicious. We’re already planning our return.

Urs and Anita were wonderful hosts. Everything from our welcome to the generous breakfasts was amazing. The little extras they provide make this the best place to stay in the area and we can’t recommend it enough. The large garden area is an ideal place to relax on a nice evening or the weathers chilly the comfortable lounge area is there as well. This is one of the best places we stayed and we wished we’d booked more nights here, but we will definitely return

Wonderful hosts
