"Lovely hotel in great surrounding. Fab infinity pool for Insta worthy pics. The food at the hotel was outstanding and by far the best buffets we had during our trip to Sri Lanka and definitely the best hoppers. The hotel is built into a rock. Some areas felt a little dated in decor and check in was a bit slow but this could be due to the large numbers of people staying at the hotel. The pool boys at the infinity pool were fabulous in helping us take photographs that captured the beauty of the area. The room was lovely and we had a fantastic view of Sigiriya and a jacuzzi with an outside view. Great base for exploring Sigiriya and the Eco elephant safari."

"Amazing grounds, tons of wildlife on the property including a ton of monkeys and peacocks. Super kind owners, excellent Sri Lankan food (and beers!). Nice pool, and really close to Siguriya Rock and nearby businesses. Can’t wait to return."

"Melrose villas is tucked away off the main road but still within walking distance / short tuk tuk ride away from village. Rooms are simple and it may take a while to find right temperature for the shower. But what really stands out is their great service, simple but freshly made meals and view of Sigiriya Rock in the distance. "

"A beautiful Resort, wished we stayed longer to enjoy more of it. The only downside for us was the bar. If you’re offering cocktails, you need staff that know what they are doing. The staff behind the bar had no idea."

"Most amazing hotel stay i’ve ever had! The staff is so helpful and accommodating. They arranged our spa and night safari excursions as well as being available to drive us where we needed. They really made this stay unforgettable and we’re truly so thankful for how comfortable they made us feel. It felt like they really cared about us enjoying our time in Sigiriya The breakfast was delicious, and made with so much care and attention.
