2. Applebutter Inn

Slippery Rock

"Applebutter Inn is a breath of fresh air! The historic and cozy building is a welcome change from chain hotels. Julie is so kind and hospitable, we felt like old friends by the time we left. We were all charmed by her companion, Chiquita Banana, who is the sweetest pup you'll ever meet! Our room was immaculate and comfortable. We hope to make it back to Slippery Rock some day, and will definitely stay at Applebutter Inn again!"

Top Appalachian Plateau Hotel Reviews

Hyatt Place Pittsburgh-North Shore

8/10 Good

"The front desk staff was excellent. I only had one problem and that’s that I wasn’t able to access YouTube or Netflix on my TV. The maintenance guy came to fix it and didn’t fix it but other than that it was a nice day but I just love how nice the front desk people were. They were very nice and I will come back again. Just hopefully they can fix the TV next time."

Drury Plaza Hotel Pittsburgh Downtown

10/10 Excellent

"Wonderful stay! The staff was top notch. So friendly and helpful. Hotel was very clean. Room was spacious and quiet, amenities were nice. The deck area on the roof was a nice quiet space to hang out. Breakfast was basic but good and the evening food time was also nice. Would definitely stay again!! Love that the building used to be a Federal Reserve and you could see the original vaults."

The Maverick by Kasa

10/10 Excellent

"Love this place! I've stayed there before, and it's always great. It's unusual, in that it's all self check-in, but that also means that it's super quiet, and very relaxed. The design is great, and the hotel might be the most stylish I've ever stayed at in Pittsburgh, and it's usually a great bargain too."

Holiday Inn Express & Suites Pittsburgh West - Greentree by IHG

8/10 Good

"Room was fine and met our needs. Breakfast and fitness center are good. Desk staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast staff person was not very friendly and did not seem to enjoy her job. She also smoked at the front entrance while on break. Not a good look for someone handling food."
