Apalachicola has been favorite of mine for 40+ years. It remains quiet, quaint, and completely charming. The oysters are the best I've ever had anywhere in the world - I've eaten them in a dozen countries.

Quaint little town with wonderful seafood and beautiful views of the gulf. Nice little shops and lots of dining choices. Don't miss the chocolate shop/ coffee house.

Such a quaint area with everything walkable. There were a couple of places that didn't seem to love the wedding crowd we were with, but others who were quite accommodating and friendly.

Like most tourist communities, it's pricey, especially in their "Olde Towne" area on Market Street. Lovely area, but expensive for dining and shopping.

Winter is not the best time to be there. The weather was fine, but almost everything is closed.

Not much to choose from as far as restaurants go on a Friday night surprisingly even though the town has a number of establishments.

loved this small town for well over 30 years and i hope the powers that be let it stay that way.
"The staff made this the best getaway ever! They were so friendly and even let me make waffles for my sons after I didn't realize the weekday breakfast hours were different than weekends and showed up late! They have warm cookies, juice and coffee in the lobby 24-7, computers readily on and available, and they were constantly cleaning the lobby area! The rooms were nice and clean, although big water spots on the ceiling showed the age of the property and tons of dead bugs on the little balcony were not my favorite. The hotel was experiencing elevator and water issues, but they left notes under our doors to inform us of the times of the inconveniences, and it was not a problem. The little kitchen was fully stocked with silverware, dishes, pots and pans so we were able to cook/eat food that we brought in our room. The ice makers worked on every floor and they even had recycling bins in with them! The pool is small, but refreshing and they have clean towels outside for your use. I would definitely stay again. :-) "
