The rooms are set away from the reception area and you have to go down gravel steps. I’m pretty young and ok with it, but my 66-year-old mom struggled. So be prepared for that. "This place was fantastic. Very close to the train station so didn’t have to haul luggage far. Was also close in proximity to some great private beaches ($40 for two chairs and an umbrella all day). About a 15 min walk to the area where all the shops and restaurants are. Staff helped with storing luggage upon check out for a couple hours and was all around an excellent find and place to stay on our two night stay in Cinque Terre"

"Locanda Valeria is a really lovely and hidden away place. Here are some things to note to manage expectations: You should only stay at this place if you lan on having a car and driving. Otherwise you will have to either walk down to train (which takes over an hour) or hire a cab company. The roads are very narrow. The breakfasts were lovely and plentiful and the rooms are beautifully restored and very, very clean. Would stay here again."
