Great stay with lots of culture on your doorstep

Had a lovely stay here… it is in the “old town” area… very easy to walk around and everything you need is close-by. Since it was summer holidays.. it could get crowded when walking around. Loved the calmness if the pool area!

Excellently situated hotel right in the heart of the old city built over an important Roman archaeological site. Lovingly restored by the owners. The staff were extremely attentive and gave excellent personal service. The food was brilliant from an extensive menu and represented good value for money. We will definitely stay at the Ruin Aldia again. A perfect place to relax and unwind.

Such a lovely stay. The staff are so attentive and the rooms are clean. Love the authenticity of the space and the pool was gorgeous. The food was also very nice.

Great location Great staff

Great location Great staff will definitely revisit would be nice to have hot drink facilities in the room But the staff at the bar area look after you any way ! so not a major issue and was aware of this before staying

It was a great location. We went for a short break and everything was nearby. Food was great in and outside the hotel. The breakfast was okay. I am Muslim so having a very small but nice Mosque at the back was great.

Fantastic, highly recommended

Great location, located in the old town. Lovely setting with courtyard and pool. The breakfast was fantastic. Friendly helpful staff. Highly recommended. The hotel is built on top of Roman ruins. Guests can have private tours if requested.

A real gem in the old town with spacious room and great facilities. Staff can give you a tour of the underground museum section. Common room has a good collection of books from the owner. Breakfast is fantastic. Only downside is the music from the street that could run till late night - of course, not the fault of hotel itself and merely a reflection of central location.

The property is stunning, and the location is excellent, in the heart of Antalya. However, there is often a loud music at night and the staff, although they try hard, have a bit of an English language challenge. The inside yard of the hotel is quiet, and the area around the pool looks like an oasis in a bustling old town of Antalya. Although I booked deluxe room many months in advance, had to settle on arrival for a room with amenities for people with disabilities (apparently no other room was available). They gave me a proper room the next day, after some negotiation. The hotel has a wonderful buffet breakfast, but if you happen to go for a day trip somewhere early in the morning is breakfast starts at 8 AMand ask for a lunchbox, you’ll get a very plain sandwich with white bread.

This hotel has a lot of character, with the villa layout, the central courtyard with the swimming pool and dining area, and the wonderful way they've made the historic structure underneath the modern building visible through glass panels in the entrance and courtyard areas. And the place felt spacious - my bedroom was big, and right outside I had the use of a large, shared terrace area, with chairs and coffee tables, from which I could overlook the courtyard and the swimming pool. My main frustration with the hotel was the noise at night. The reviews did hint at this so I wasn't taken completely by surprise. The live music from the restaurant next door stopped at midnight which was tolerable. The issue was noisy people and vehicles going past my bedroom window. This was generally an issue up until 1am and then starting again around 6am. I am a light sleeper though so probably a bit more sensitive to it than most.

It was a surprise to walk into the courtyard of this lovely hotel. They had discovered ruins below the hotel during the pool construction. The staff were wonderful. They covered us with blankets during dinner and put a heater by our legs when we got chilled sitting out doors. Close to the Hadrian Gate and lots of stores nearby.

A night in the old city

We stayed for 1 night only , it was our first time to stay in RuinAdalia and we were upgraded to a better room. The staffs everywhere were helpful and very attentive to our needs. The room is spacious and clean and the view from the 2nd floor is amazing. We had a late dinner in the restaurant, food were tasty with reasonable price. Will definitely be back soon.

Great location but with drawbacks

Great location. Friendly service. Personal check in and out. Chalet style room. Two issues. The room was noisy with poor window sound damping. It’s a lively area with nightclubs so if you don’t want to hear thumping house music until 2am consider somewhere else. Also air con was rubbish and just stopped at 12 midnight for no reason and couldn’t be restarted.

An oasis in Antalya

This is a wonderful hotel. Extremely comfortable with excellent service. We would recommend it to anybody. Breakfast, however, was disappointing - but not so much as to detract from the recommendation. Parking could be a problem - although we were lucky enough to get into the hotel's free parking space - and access by car is interesting, with negotiation of the Old Antalya streets a challenge. Overall it is a must - definitely THE place to stay. It is worth many more stars than the 2 it has. Ask to visit the ruins underneath. Varol in Reception gave us outstanding service!

I didn’t want to leave! Best Stay Ever!!

Wow, I have travelled non stop for the past two years and this was my favourite stay of all time. The hotel is beautiful, the staff are OUTSTANDING, the attention we were shown just made our trip to Antalya so welcoming. The hotel is built on ruins just inside Hadrian’s Gate so you can walk to the sea, walk to town, the shopping and the restaurants are all so close. The restaurant on-site is fabulous! I had the cheese plate with wine daily, the staff even delivered it up to my deck and honestly waited on us hand and foot. Try the cheddar burger and the meatballs for dinner too! This is an adults only property which made the experience even better. The pool was never crowded with everyone showing each other respect when swimming. I honestly didn’t want to leave and I will make a point of coming back to Antalya just to visit this hotel again. I hope you get to experience it the way I did!

The property was very good. We would have liked the service to be better. On checkin we were given a rather cold reception by the staff. We were led to the room but no one cared about sharing any details on questions we asked such as places to visit nearby, how to connect to WiFi. When we asked about visiting the basement area that has the ruins we were told we could do that any time. However when we tried to make a visit in the evening we were told that the facility was closed. As a result we could not.

Good-sized room, kept clean, with a beautiful pool area in a great location. Beautiful complex Breakfast could use more options. Difficult to communicate with staff as English is very limited but they tried very hard to accomodate. Bar staff were very friendly and eager to please.

The hotel grounds were beautiful, the breakfast was wonderful and our room was very nice. The reason for 4 star is that we had issues with sink and the staff member kept promising it would be fixed - only after our 3rd try was someone sent (a gardner) to try to fix it. That same staff member assured us our transpiration (arranged months in advance) to the next city was confirmed but as we waited the next morning for our transportation, it hadn't been arranged. Thanks to the last minute resourcefulness of another staff member we were able to get to our destination. That one staff member should not be working with guests - he didn't care.

After reading the reviews for the hotel maybe our expectations were too high as our experience was not so good. We were in a deluxe double room which seemed very small, no chairs,bathrobes or glasses. It was very noisy at night with music until midnight (which I think should be noted in the hotel description before booking) This certainly did not feel like a deluxe room

Beautiful hotel with large quiet pool and courtyard Very walkable to restaurants and local sights. Our hotel manager was very kind to switch a more quiet room on request . Restaurant on site with delicious food and excellent breakfast. Highly recommended when staying in Antalya.
