"My wife and I have never been to Anna Maria Island and Holmes beach before so we chose the Cedar Cove Resort. It was a small resort with an older touch such as the buildings and such. It kinda took us back a bit at first but we settled in just fine. The Flamingo suite we stayed in was nice but very small and had some older decor. The suite did come with all the amenities fridge, electric stove, sink coffee maker which by the way was a Nespresso machine which was cool but not everyone likes espresso style coffee. The suite had a pull out bed couch , table, and wooden chairs all in the living room. Then the king bed was in the next room with the bathroom. Only complaints about this is we felt there should be a door separating the bedroom from the living room for quiet and privacy. Bathroom had a barn door from the bedroom. Bed was awesome!!! Very comfortable. Again , not to complain but the room reminded me of a studio apartment then a resort suite. Room was clean upon arrival but found some dirty dishes in the cabinets which we ended up having to clean. So just bit disappointed in the suite we chose. The beach area was breathtaking!! No complaints there. Staff was great !! So overall Anna Maria Island doesn’t fit our life style as we didn’t know how bad traffic is, the lack of good restaurants besides the Daquiri Deck and the Hurricane Hanks were awesome!!! Holy cow ice cream was fabulous as well. Too busy of an area for us . Looking for more low keyed atmosphere."

"The check in process was horrible! I booked through Expedia and the conformation text included the resorts address and phone number however, the number was no good. It would ring and then disconnect. Spoke with Expedia and they tried to contact the property but they could not reach them either. So we traveled to one of their sister properties which informed us their phone systems weren't working and they were unable to be reached. Fast forwarded to after 4:00 check in time, and the wrist bands that housekeeping had left in the lock box did not work. So again could not get into the room. Keep in mind there is no check in office on site so no one to ask for help. Our neighbors was experiencing the same problem with their wristbands not working to their room either. We were able to locate a housekeeper leaving for the day and she did not speak english. So she translated on her phone and said she would have someone bring new keys. We waited about 20 mins and no one ever showed up. So got back in the car and drove back to the sister property for some help to get new keys upon arrival they said the guy had just left headed to the property with the new keys. Drove back and waited on him to get there. The rooms were very clean except for the floors. Very sandy. This place was very convenient. Right across the street from the beach and you could walk to several restaurants. The rooms were nice and spacious. Had a mini fridge but no microwave. Pool was so clean and immaculate!!"

"I loved the location, the amenities, and the entire room. Immediately walking into the resort, I felt like I was at home. The room had everything we needed, from beach towels to beach chairs and umbrellas, even a coffee maker and refrigerator. The tub and shower were phenomenal. The location is walking distance to so many wonderful restaurants and desert options. The beach is mere yards away."

"A wonderful place to stay! Peaceful, spotless, and incredibly relaxing. The staff is amazing—friendly, attentive, and always willing to help. The rooms are beautiful, comfortable, and very well maintained. The best part is that the hotel is right in front of the beach, where you can enjoy complimentary beach chairs, umbrellas, and everything you need for a perfect day by the ocean. I highly recommend Silver Surf Gulf Beach Resort. 100%! 🌴☀️"
