"The staff was great but this is definitely not a full service hotel...it has a ton of character as it's in an old manor house with very pretty grounds and close proximity to the water. "Just returned from 11 nights at this hotel and had an absolutely fantastic time. The staff were friendly and very helpful. The breakfast buffet is great with tons of options, our room was clean and had an amazing view. Yes there is a bit of rust here and there on the balcony but what would you expect from an ocean front hotel exposed to the elements constantly. The location is also perfect as you can easily walk to the downtown area of Angra. We would absolutely stay at this hotel again on our next trip to Terceira."

"I loved my time here. First and foremost, staff always had a smile and greeting and were ever ready to help me with any queries or bookings. The setting was intimate, with only 18 rooms, with coffee on tap every morning and hot breakfasts cooked to order. The 7.30am start also meant I was fully fed and watered before heading off on a tour, hike, boat trip, etc. My room opened up to the pool area, so I was able to benefit from that either side of the breakfast while letting the coffee kick in (coffee machine in room too). I also frequented the pool area in the afternoons, whether to sit on a rocking chair to read or simply dose off on a sunbed. I also made occasional use of the gym, steam bath, hot tub and sauna too. Finally, this is a very central location which was two minutes from cafes in the squares and park and three or four minutes from a wide range of really good restaurants."
