"We absolutely loved our stay here, and wish I'd booked two nights instead of one. Staying in such a beautiful historical house was truly a special experience! Of course you sacrifice some modern comforts as they didn't build en-suite bathrooms back then, but I was honestly impressed at how comfortable it was: the room was small but we slept beautifully in the futon-style beds, waking up refreshed to soft daylight drifting in through the paper screens. The bathroom is in a separate building but completely modern and very clean. The owner was extremely kind and helpful, and gave us the best restaurant recommendation of our two-week trip. Please make sure you check your Expedia messages as he tried to contact us before arrival to help us get there, and I didn't realize until later because my notifications were off, but thankfully he reached out over Whatsapp as well. The home-cooked Korean breakfast was delicious and very complete. It was truly a stay that we'll remember for a long time, as it became part of the experience that made us love Hahoe village and Korea!"

"My stay at Andong Hotel was truly life-changing. Yes, it takes about 30–40 minutes by taxi from the Andong KTX station—but that distance is exactly what makes this place so special. It feels like stepping back in time, into a slower, simpler way of living that’s hard to find anywhere else. The quiet here is something you can actually feel. You wake up to the sounds of birds and roosters, and at night, the soft lighting around the hotel gently guides your way without disturbing the peace. Even the internet comes and goes—but instead of being frustrating, it felt like a reminder to stay present and fully take in the surroundings. Sleeping on the heated floors was one of my favorite parts. I felt my back pain disappear, and in a way, it felt like I was reconnecting with something deeper—like returning to my roots. It reminded me so much of my childhood in Vietnam, staying with my grandparents. I came to Korea to find myself after losing my grandfather in 2025, and this place held space for that journey. Hearing the wind chimes throughout the day brought me comfort—it felt like a quiet reminder that he was still close by. This isn’t a place for nightlife or busy schedules. There’s not much around—and that’s the beauty of it. It’s for solo travelers, for reflection, for healing. If you’re looking for that “eat, love, pray” kind of experience, this is it. Easy walk to main bus routes (including trip to KTX rail station & Andong Hahoe village), large supermarket at Home plus and many restaurants. Our room was very clean and included a sofa plus bar fridge. Traditional small towels supplied. No breakfast available as per site. Enjoyed our stay in Andong."

"Superb hostel! The hosts are really warm and friendly and the book café is great. Our room was really clean and the bathroom was really good size. The water fountains and common areas on each floor are great. Breakfast was tasty and we liked that there was fruit served also. Loved our stay here! "
