"This is a new property in Kastraki, which is a 15 min walk or 5 euro taxi ride from the town of Kalambaka. Kastraki is a small, quaint village at the foot of the monasteries in Meteora. There is a lovely family run restaurant just at the end of the road, and a bakery across the street. The rooms themselves are well designed, modern and comfortable. For a fee, ask about late check out. It’s very much worth it given the transportation options out of Kalambaka. I’d definitely come back again!"

On the negative, if you don’t arrive early enough for breakfast, food is not replenished and therefore there is not much variety left. "This hotel was located close to the monasteries with great view of it. The staff were all very friendly. Parking was a bit of an issue. Luckily there weren’t that many guests during my stay.
