We spent a week at the Amsterdam Canal Hotel and were very happy with our choice. Very well situated, just a 15/20 minute walk to the town center & museums. The breakfast was delicious and the complimentary happy hour was really enjoyable, we loved sitting by the canal after a day of sightseeing. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend this hotel to friends and family.
We loved the balcony room overlooking the canal we stayed in. Staff were friendly and so helpful with any questions.
Stairs are steep and narrow and there is no lift which was fine for us but may not be for others.
We would definitely stay here again.
The staff was awesome- thank you Nora for all your help. They had happy hour for all the guests and if you can get the room with the canal view- do so. We enjoyed watching all the boats pass by, neighbors visiting and the incredible thunderstorms!
The view of the canal in the back rooms is wonderful. Location is great — easy walking distance to the Rijksmuseum and tram lines. Stairs are a challenge is you’re traveling with heavy cases.
This location is great if you don’t want the loudness of the centrum/downtown area. The staff was great. The breakfast was a lovely way to start each day. We rented bikes and felt they were safe being locked up in that neighborhood. We felt our room had a great view of the canal. Bed was comfortable. We’d stay again!

The room was very clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful during our stay. The location is great, with many shops and restaurants nearby, which made it very convenient.
Great location near all museums and metro.
Stairs only - very steep. TV stations very limited and only in Dutch, no English. So self stream only free wifi.
Beautiful hotel with wonderful staff. Great location too

This place worked well for us because we mostly used our room to sleep then were out all day. However, it is very small and many things are outdated. The complimentary happy hour was a huge bonus.

Good location. Dated room decor. Very nice staff and a nice happy hour daily. Stairs to the third floor should be considered when booking. Canal view was pretty
Being in the historic district, travellers must know that there is no lift so you must carry your luggage up to your room. Some rooms have air conditioning, ours did not but there was a fan so that helped! The hotel is very walkable to many landmarks, museums, restaurants etc. We walked everywhere but you’re also close to transit to get to those places that are farther away. We only had two days in Amsterdam, so our proximity to those points of interest was paramount.
Generally loved the room. It's an old wooden building but the view from the top room overlooking the canal is definitely the selling point. Bathroom was compact but well maintained. The main door took some effort to close as it's an old door. Didn't have the breakfast option but I would definitely come back and stay again
Excellent location, beautiful room with canal view. Very friendly and helpful staff. Nice breakfast. Free drinks for 2 hours a day was amazing! Some areas of the hotel look like they could use a lick of paint, mainly the stairs, but didnt affect our stay negatively at all
This hotel is located on a lovely spot on the canal. The view from our balcony was great. It is within 15 minute walk to the museum district. The big bathtub has been exactly so I’m talking ab was good after a long day on our feet.
The staff was so helpful and the breakfasts were delicious! Do you have a form? It’s just a simpler way so it’s a form fill out next two minutes and we’ll do everything at your part so will inform you for everything so yes it’s it’s not a question. Will you get it because it’s already five hour delay you cannot land in less than three hour delay original time, unfortunately so thank you for sharing this. We’ll look at it. Exactly exactly QR code right now for a long time to do it, but don’t stress it out so read about it good information but don’t take my word for it Euv you screwed up everything
