This hotel has the perfect location in the center of Amsterdam . All in a walking distance . Staff was super friendly and welcoming . Only down side was the stairs as this is a little work with luggages . I would stay here again

A very nice clean hotel that is very central. Close to all major attractions. Staff are very nice and helpful. Rooms have all that you need. Bathroom small but good facilities. The bar is nice with a good view. Would stay again.

The pictures online do not look anything like the actual rooms you stay in. The rooms are very small, old & run down. There are a LOT of stairs. You have to walk very steep steps from the entrance to the lobby, carrying all your luggage.

Excellent experience at Hotel van Gelder

The location of the hotel is perfect, just a few meters away from the central station. Additionally, the staff was very kind, solved all my questions and the room was very clean. Price-quality was amazing and would love to stay there again because of the service.

Hotel Van Gelder is 6 minutes from the central train station and heart of the attraction street. Location wise it’s busy and close to everything. The hotel is older/classic but kept well. My 13 yrs old daughter and I stayed at the third floor and the stairs are wild: steep and narrow. There wasn’t an elevator but we only had two carryons.

The staff are so nice! The location is awesome for walking and public transportation. It’s close to Amsterdam Centraal Station so using the trains and tram was very convenient. We had a city view and enjoyed seeing the canal.
