I liked how convenient it is to travel to Amsterdam Centraal Station from the hotel with the metro, as well as the option to rent bicycles (although I did not use it as I can't navigate the city well yet without my phone). The staff and services were helpful and friendly. Only gripe is the area outside of the hotel which can be too quiet and dark to see properly sometimes, however it is still safe and I would recommend this hotel to friends and family.

An amazing and beautiful hotel to stay with good breakfast and welcoming staff. The only turn off for me as a fitness enthusiast is that the hotel has no gym or fitness center.

The hotel is located in nice area with good choices of public transportation not far from Amsterdam Central station. There is a 10 minute walk to the nearest metro station Noorderport. The rooms are nice with a great view from the highest floors. The breakfast is chaotic and the space is severely limited to accomodate so many guests.

Couldn't work out why the sink was draining with the plug in, so took plug out, and about ½ meter of hair and slime came with it. Having a shower left the slippery floor soaked. At breakfast, they regularly ran out of spoons. The bar service person was less than enthusiastic to serve.

The hotel was exactly as expected. Lovely spacious bar and lounge area. Great choices for breakfast including vegan and gluten free. The staff were fab, friendly and helpful. A big thank you to Rowan who went above and beyond and contacted a local hospital after I was injured. If you are staying here, be aware it's about a 1 k walk from the free ferry. You should also get the train from Schiophol airport and not the bus, as the bus station is a lot further. There are 2 supermarkets literally on the doorstep which is very helpful. (Great prices too as we bought the Stroopwaffles there which were about 5E cheaper per pack than in the tourist parts!

Good stay

We came in rather early in around 11:30 in morning and were very tired from the time change. We just wanted to check in and rest however we couldn’t check in till almost a half an hour after the check in start time. It took all day for them to finish preparing the room. I saw quite a few people checking in with no problem,we weren’t one of them. The only thing I can think of is the higher floor. Your room is on the longer it takes for them to get to that floor. I don’t know, but it took them until well after 3 o’clock to have the room ready for us to check into. I’ve stayed in Europe quite a few times and once they know you’re in the hotel even if it’s a little bit before checkout time, they usually attempt to try to get the room ready. They didn’t make any attempts to get the room ready it was come back in a couple hours. Nope it’s 3 o’clock. It’s still not ready. Sorry you’re gonna have to wait longer. Other than that, I have no complaints.

We arrived at 3:00PM for the check-in time and there was a long line that goes outside the hotel. Waited for 1 hr to be finally checked-in only to be told that our room wasn't ready. Breakfast is basic. Rooms were clean. Grocery right across so it was very convenient but nothing much nearby.

This hotel is fairly new and has a youthful vibe. There is a good buffet breakfast service, which is a part of the room booking. The rooms are a decent size for Europe and modern. Bed was comfortable and well appointed. There is in room coffee and tea service, ironing board and iron. I did not see a room safe, but maybe there was one. The hotel is in a residential area in North Amsterdam that is in transit and expanding hotel options. It is close to a metro station, which is one stop from centraal station on the other side of the river. There is a free ferry service from behind Centraal Station which is about a 10 minute walk. Two large supermarkets next to and across the street. The Jumbo supermarket has prepare foods and made to order pizza service.

not worth it

they cancelled my reservation, got excuses to tell me it was the agency who did it, while it was their assistant manager. throughout the stay, they did the same thing to one of my colleagues, they missed a room service, plus on the last day the hot water broke around 7pm, and they didn't get it fixed until 10am the following day - forcing me to take a freezing shower before leaving. cherry on the cake was the elevator which broke leaving over 13 floors and a fully booked hotel with one elevator, meaning took 20minutes to get to ground floor. go spend your money somewhere else!
