You get what you pay for. The stairs up to check in were typical Dutch stairs. Steep and difficult with luggage.

citizenM Schiphol Airport
Staff was outstanding in being helpful. Breakfast was a disappointment since all of the “hot” food was tepid at best. The cold foods were great. Overall, I recommend this choice. I’ve included the view from our room.

Hotel ibis Schiphol Amsterdam Airport
The room was ridiculously small and to make it worse they had a 3rd bed in it. A real rip off. You could not swing a cat in there.
