Pension de famille authentique et qui nous a ravis

Petite pension de famille agréable avec une propriétaire aux petits soins. Les chambres sont agréables même si les salles d’eau sont exiguës. Cela est vite oublié. L’extérieur est soigné. La situation géographique de l’hôtel est idéale, à quelques dizaines de mètres du centre de Chora.

Politimis Studios are set around a lovely courtyard garden, very quiet and 4 minutes walk from the main street in Chora for bars, restaurants and shops. (Walk UP the steps just by the entrance gate and you are there). I would say that it is 3 star accommodation. The beds are very comfortable and rooms are of a good size. Most sleep 3 people. The studios are run by the charming and helpful Maria (who speaks English) and if there is anything you think you might need extra you just have to phone her and she will be there for you. I guess the kitchens are under equipped in some ways but you have all the basics. You don't want to cook there anyway with so many wonderful tavernas and bars in town. Good shower with excellent power and always very hot water. This is not luxury but excellent comfortable accommodation in Greek Island style. There is a lady on hand who does all the cleaning and washing and will also do laundry if asked. Rooms were serviced every day - towels and bedding not always renewed but in such a case you just have to go and ask and it will be done. Everything had washed on site. Views are good. One room has a private balcony so if available ask to be upgraded to it for a small extra charge. I would particularly recommend "Botteille" (4 mins walk) with it's roof terrace. Great bar staff and lovely waitresses - very charming - all as skilled as in a cocktail bar in New York or London. The town has excellent restaurants. Amorgas attracts a sophisticated crowd.

Vraiment pas terrible

Une kitchenette mais pas de couverts, vaisselle dépareillée, ustensiles usagés, plaque électrique rouillée, le tout pas nettoyé. Lits vieillots mais corrects, seulement la pièce est humide. Le jardin par lequel on accède aux logements n'est pas entretenu. Très passable pour le prix demandé. Nous ne reviendrons pas.

You must understand in the smaller Greek Islands in winter that nearly everything is closed. Maria didn't know I was arriving as a huge storm had hit Amorgos and she had no internet. However, Maria was brilliant she took me in her car to places, she gave excellent suggestions and directions ( don't miss the monastery at Hora , it is stunning ) She allowed me pick vegetables from her garden, because I was the only tourist there. As a land lady for four days , as a single traveler it was terrific. Cheers Neal Endacott

Λυπάμαι γιατι οταν πας για θρησκευτικό λόγο κάπου ειναι ΆΔΙΚΟ να μην έχεις νερό να πλυθείς!! ΘΕΛΕΙ λιγο περισσότερη προσοχή γιατί δεν πρέπει να ξεχνάμε ότι οταν παει καποιος σε άλλο τόπο είναι για να φεύγει ικανοποιημένος!!!

la proprietaria Maria, è molto gentile, fornisce consigli su dove andare e cosa vedere ad Amorgos, viene a prenderti e ti riporta al porto di katapola. la camera è come da foto, il bagno un po' piccolo, però la posizione è ottima per muoversi, sia per visitare l'isola, sia per stare nella chora

We liked very much our stay at Politimi studios in the small mountain village Chora. In Chora you can feel the touch of an ancient greek village yet the place is full of nice restaurant and cafés. Politimi studios is well kept and Maria the host is very helpful.

Appart très accueillant et bien situé

Maria qui nous a reçus est très souriante. Elle nous donne beaucoup de renseignements sur ce qui nous entoure et peut être fait. Le jardin est à notre disposition pour y manger ou lire et même pour cueillir les légumes : on s'est régalé avec les aubergines et les tomates. On peut aussi être sur la terrasse ombragée. De plus, elle fait la lessive gratuitement !

Beautiful place, great location, would go again!

Huge room+kitchen, peaceful place with a cute garden, sweet and helpful hostess - what's not to love! Location is great since it's not in the middle of everything but still literally only few steps away from the center of Chora where everything is near. Chora/Amorgos is one of the best places in the whole Europe!
