"Great location in Duluth! Our room overlooked Lake Superior and we were able to walk to stores and restaurants. Rooms are clean, comfortable and spacious. Lobby is inviting and front desk staff are friendly. Breakfast has a wide variety of hot and cold food which was all good. Highly recommend this hotel if you are in the area!"

"Hot tub closed … after we called ahead to make sure it was open , disappointing but whatever . We booked this hotel because our car broke down/ on a Saturday. Obviously no shops were open till Monday. So Monday morning we decided to add another night to be safe in case car was not ready . Well turns out our car was ready an hour after check out . Expedia understood our situation and agreed to cancel the one night if hotel agreed ( have proof of that in a chat ) . I went to front desk explaining and the manager Michael was very rude and said No . The hotel could have easily gave us late check out and agree to cancel . I even called best western customer service and they even tried to help us by calling the manager , again he would not pudge . And with the shape of the hotel I would look elsewhere."

"Hot tub’s jets didn’t work so it was like sitting in a bath tub. Pool area dirty and needs repair. Walls in room have holes repaired by putting tape over it. Breakfast had good options. Train next to hotel which was loud"

"I did not expect a lot for $150 total including tax, but was pleasantly surprised. Sure it is an old building but the updates are very modern, the room was clean and the bed was super comfy and cozy. The sitting area by the desk and the breakfast area were welcoming and nicely decorated. We stayed 2 nights and it was very relaxing. The only complaint was that when you turned on the bathroom light the fan automatically came on and was pretty loud so when the neighboring room left there fan in all night we could hear it clearly in our room and could hear people’s voices and baby crying next door. Just thin walls because the building itself is pretty old. The breakfast looked pretty average for continental but was kept nice and clean in there. Overall I would give it a 4.5 star rating. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. We will stay here again! "
