"The expectation was of a 4star apartment.The reality was a basic 2star! I realise it was a Cretan style building & have no problem with that but a few modern touches and some comfortable loungers etc would be nice.Crete is lovely and the people very friendly so we enjoyed our stay overall just not the hotel."

"We were about 20 days in Villa Italiana and out of the 4 studios that there are in the villa they gave us the worst, as it was just in front of the community area, it was next to the car parking, it was just in front of the entrance to the villa and in the access area to go to Rosa's house (owner of the villa). To all this, must be added that the bed was small, the fact that there was a wooden structure prevented from laying down properly if your height is more than 1.80; and that the terraces...

"The hotel is absolutely amazing! The lobby has a huge bar instead of a checkin counter. You are able to sit on a comfortable couch and the staff comes to you for checkin. Service is just outstanding and the rooms are large and extremely clean. Breakfast is out of this works and the hotel has a beautiful beach. Located in one of the most exclusive towns, Elounda in Crete."
