"The beach view from our villa was mostly obstructed. The listing showed a balcony, but our room was on the ground floor with a patio that had no lighting, making it unusable at night. The photos used for booking are misleading and do not accurately represent what you get. The resort includes multiple buildings with different types of villas, a hotel, and smaller units, but this is not clearly explained during booking—so you don’t really know which accommodations you’re reserving. There was no kitchen; however, we booked a double queen room (not a suite), so that part was acceptable. That said, the villa itself needs a thorough cleaning and updating. The common areas and building exterior also show a lack of maintenance and upkeep. Overall, the room did not feel worth the price we paid. That said, the resort itself has a lot to offer—we enjoyed the amenities, shops, dining options, views, pool, beach, and natural surroundings, especially riding around in the golf cart we rented. The hotel next to the villas was a highlight, with brunch, live music in the evenings, a large pool, great views, and a boardwalk to the beach. Access to these hotel amenities for villa guests was a definite plus."

"We enjoyed our stay at the Courtyard. Our favorite part was the pool/bar area. The location was great as well. The staff was very polite, helpful, and prompt."

"It seems like ratings are pretty divided on this property. Now that I've been, I can completely see why that's the case, and kinda wanted to spell out everything I found great and not-so-great: Great The look - everything is quintessential old town architecture, inside and out, and is a beauty to behold. The staff - while my interactions with them were minimal, they were always exceedingly pleasant. Price - it's right in town, and, at least for the day I was in town, considerably cheaper than the Hampton. Cats - the courtyard, which itself was a cute little feature, had some very adorable feline residents in it. Not-so-great The noise - this was the one criticism I was aware of going in, but I didn't know the extent of it until I was at the hotel. The bar next door was active until sometime between midnight and 1 AM. I was fine with this, as I wasn't attempting to fall asleep until after midnight. However, beyond just being in a noisy setting, the walls in this hotel are probably the thinnest I've ever experienced, as no sound from outside was insulated. This resulted in me waking up quite a few times earlier than I was hoping to. Parking - they do have an on-site lot...it's minuscule. This probably wasn't a big deal in the era before paid parking downtown, because there is plentiful street parking nearby. But with free parking vastly diminished, this becomes a more annoying issue. Room size - smallest I've seen since Manhattan. Overall it's fine for a night, but not perfect."
