"This is a lovely hotel, a cool, calm oasis from the heat and noise of the piazza. The room felt serene with the high ceiling and soft colour scheme. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful. Perfect location right beside the Duomo, I highly recommend staying here."

"I appreciated Giovanni, the maitre d' at breakfast and dinner. He went out of his way to make me feel comfortable as a solo traveler. We chatted and he gave me some local insights. The complimentary shuttle service to the center of Amalfi and pick up at the ferry was so valuable. Unfortunately the young man who drives the shuttle is not friendly and not informed. I mentioned I planned a trip back to Sorrento on the high speed ferry and he told me there was no such thing. Really, I purchased a ticket online: a half hour 'vs 2 hours on the outbound trip. It's not helpful when locals provide misinformation. There are plenty of other people in hospitality who were helpful and didn't have this guy's bad attitude. Clearly it appears he doesn't like his job. Hotel was a good value for the area and the food was good but not outstanding."
