The Whittling House

"The room we had for 4 people was amazing, think it was room 2, it was for 4 people, 2 adults and 2 kids(age 8 & 12). The layout was lovely, a living area and a separate bedroom, the bed in the bedroom was great, really firm and comfy however the sofa bed wasn't, was definitely more difficult to sleep on, especially with 2 on it. That was the only fault you could pick with the room and hotel. Breakfast was brilliant, really tasty and amazing choice, kids chose from the menu first morning but then on the second they just went with cereal, croissants and the granola bowl and that was plenty. Cooked breakfast and avocado toast were delicious. Food in the hotel restaurant was top notch, we had dinner our first night, burgers and venison lasagne, wow. Staff were really nice and friendly and Alnmouth is a lovely little place to visit especially with proximity to Alnwick. The car park at the back was small and tight to get into but was ideal especially on arrival for making sure you could get cases up to the room. All in all a brilliant stay at a lovely hotel and we're already planning on heading back for another visit over the Summer!"
