"Had one of the best rooms in the hotel on the top floor with a balcony (no chairs on deck) but of course we got the room that the sun beats into all afternoon. We kept the curtains closed but it was still hot. We put 3 fans in the room but it was still hot. Not what we expected for the high price. My husband upgraded to this room so we could use the spa after adventuring all day, sadly the first night it was somehow booked for a private event??? How can they book it when their lodging customers...

Self check-in is convenient and cafe staff (who double as hostel staff) are helpful when needed, but the separation of hostel and cafe makes for a somewhat impersonal experience. /hot tubs, botanical garden, and oceanfront walk), as well as basic amenities (small grocery store, bakery, etc.). But...
