I stayed in a first floor apartment with a south facing balcony. The apartment was simple but well equipped, with a comfortable bed and enough kitchen equipment to make simple meals. I was impressed that there was an oven, toaster, microwave and even a small washing machine. The outside surroundings were nice with lots of grass and palm trees. Communication from the staff was excellent - my flight arrived late, Expedia did not pass this information on to them when I booked, so I was glad I contacted them directly, and when I did they were extremely helpful, sending me detailed instructions on how to pick up the keys. The area definitely had an end-of-season feel to it, with the small supermarket a bit under stocked as it was closing for the season the following week. I went here for peace and quiet so I was ok with that (end of October), no doubt in peak season it is a lot busier. The nearby beach is lovely, with clear water and a marked off area that boats aren’t allowed in to disturb the swimmers.

It was our first time in Menorca, and our stay in Son Bou was great. The apartment was very well located, it was clean, quiet, comfortable, not very big but enough for 4 adults and one child, even though we would have preferred double beds instead of single ones. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Housekeeping every 4 days was ok. All the surroundings are very good, the gardens, the supermarket, the restaurants, the beach, all in a walking range. Great to go with kids. Wi-fi was working fine. The only thing less good I would say are the amenities, they weren't enough for four adults and they weren't replaced (especially the detergent, since we were cooking most of our meals at the apartment and had a lot of dishwashing to do).

Résidence calme et bien entretenue

L'appartement était très fonctionnel et propre. Tout proche de la plage de son bou. Sur la semaine les serviettes ont été changées une fois (une grande et une petite par personne). Nous avions un pack de petit déjeuner offert, pain de mie, Café, thé ... La résidence était calme avec une petite terrasse. Il y avait aussi une machine à laver dans l'appartement, très pratique. Personnel accueillant bref rien a redire.

LUGAR MUY RECOMENDABLE

Nos ha gustado mucho el sitio, en general muy buena relación calidad-precio. El apartamento tenía todo lo necesario, incluido un set de bienvenida, tanto de alimentos como de limpieza. El último día nuestro vuelo salía por la tarde y aunque tuvimos que abandonar el apartamento a las 10:00 h, nos dejaron una habitación de cortesía para dejar nuestras cosas y luego ducharnos. Lo único que hemos echado de menos es mayor amplitud de horarios de la piscina, cerraban a las 19:00 h y si habías ido a la playa por la mañana, se te hacía corto ese horario.

Todo muy bien, se echa de menos que en un apartamento de playa para cuatro personas se cambie tan pocas veces las toallas etc. Incluso papel WC. Las piscinas muy limpias, pero hay que consumir en el bar para su uso. Eso si, los precios son normales, caña 2,10 €, café 1,40 €.

Great apartments

Had a lovely stay in our apartment. It was clean, well equipped (Kettle, toaster, microwave, fridge, cutlery etc.), comfy beds. The pool was great and has a nice bar/restaurant. Son Bou is a nice little town with a good beach although we tended to drive to Cala Galdana cause it was more sheltered and had some shade. Only downside to apartment was the music from the bar/restaurant at night but it didnt ruin our stay.

Ottima sistemazione nel cuore di Minorca

Ho soggiornato presso l'accogliente e intimo appartamento di Son Bou per 4 notti. Ampia sistemazione, dotata di numerosi comfort e a due passi dal centro cittadino e a 10 minuti dalla spiaggia. Unica pecca: mancanza del phon che risultava indispensabile, in quanto a fine maggio le giornate non erano caldissime. Consiglio: segnalare che per il ritiro delle chiavi bisogna recarsi nella reception nel centro di son bou situata a 5 minuti circa da dove sorge il complesso.

Everything's Great

We have found a new place and fallen in love with it. We visit Menorca most years, but have never stayed at Son Bou. We loved it from the moment we drove in. The apartment was bijou, very clean and well furnished for a short holiday. The community was very friendly as was the bar and pool area. We will be there again. (ps, sort the wifi out)

Goede locatie voor gezinnen

Prima appartement, Alles netjes schoon. Locatie in een vakantie park dus, dicht bij zwembad, eetgelegenheden en strand. Meeste andere gasten waren gezinnen met kleine kinderen. Het was lekker rustig. Wij hebben de locatie gebruikt als uitvalsbasis om het eiland te verkennen.

Son Bou ...lovely beach

Rooms basic but clean. Only problem being, as we went early in season, the bedroom had a musty smell to it. Facilities very good and a superb bakery for fresh croissants ! Car hire was very good price with helpful and pleasant staff.
