"This hotel was a highlight of our trip and easily our favourite in Sri Lanka. The staff were incredibly friendly, the rooms were gorgeous and comfortable, and the location couldn’t be better- right on the beach and just a short walk to Coconut Tree Hill, Parrot Rock, and plenty of dining options. "The only reason our stay was remotely bearable was because of the incredible staff. Every single person we encountered went above and beyond to help us. They deserve 5 stars.
Unfortunately, the hotel itself is a complete disappointment. It’s extremely outdated, the facilities are rusty, worn down, and poorly maintained, and everything feels overused and neglected. "The check-in for this property is very problematic. Note that their credit card reader doesn’t always work. And they are very lucky if you try to pay with cash about the condition of your bills. "This is a newer property in Unawatuna so I was hesitant. But this place was phenomenal. The room was so nice, very clean, and had everything we needed for our stay, including a small kitchen and even a washer. It's close enough to all the local attractions, but located just far enough away from the main road to be very quiet. Good restaurant options nearby, 24 hour pool, and 25 hour security. Wifi is fast and the AC works great. The only thing that would improve this place would be if breakfast...
