"It is an old property that needs further refurbishment. We waited five minutes at check in and finally called for service. Office was closed at 8:45am when when departed. We had to leave the key in our room. One bottle of water in the room otherwise no amenities, coffee or tea, refrigerator, bottle opener. I'd expect more for the rate. They did have two wine glasses. Our garden view looked at roofs. If you leaned over you could see umbrellas below. Second floor walk up. The rooms were just old and very small and not consistent with the more historic and lavish downstairs. Felt like we were in a more threadbare former servants hall. No control of airflow in the room. Outlets were hard to use as the plate stuck out preventing secure seating of the plug in the receptacle. Super noisy bathroom fan which was the only functional light in the bathroom. Insufficient for the standards of the community and the rate."
