Mountain Hostel

"We wanted a budget conscious stay in the Alps and this did not disappoint. We stayed in a two bedroom that allowed our 7-person group to stay together. The views from the hostel are beautiful. The hostel offers several options for sporting facilities, like soccer, volleyball, trampoline, and even an indoor electronic futsal arena that is quite fun. There are four hammocks that allow you to relax and soak in the view of the valley and the mountains. There are a few restaurants walkable from the hostel, either on the road on through hiking trails. Shopping and restaurants are also available in the nearby town which is a short drive or a healthy walk away."

"Family run hotel in village location overlooking stunning scenery. The rooms were very large in a traditional country style with big modern bathrooms all being exceptionally clean. All staff we encountered were friendly & helpful. Excellent breakfast buffet with large selection of quality ingredients, choice of freshly prepared fried or scrambled eggs every day. Good choice of places to eat out locally or in the nearest towns. The added benefit was that our 2no dogs were allowed in the hotel for an additional cost. Very good wi-fi."

"The stay was very enjoyable. The views and surroundings are beautiful. Food and service in the restaurant was excellent. We also enjoyed the spa and only comment we have is that we wished the jacuzzi water should be warmer. In addition, we were surprised that at the 4 star hotel there was no bottled water available in the room."

"We had an amazing stay at the Ferienhotel Knollhof and wouldnt hesitate to stay again or recommend it! Lovely clean, spacious rooms, great breakfast, very friendly, helpful staff and the location is fantastic with a breathtaking view of the mountains!! Thank you for a wondeful experience in beautiful Schladming!"
