Nice friendly staff. Very central with plenty of parking. Even though the room was dated it was clean and the bed was very comfortable. Had to step into spa bath for the shower so this room would not suit older people. There was a toaster in the room to be able to make own breakfast.

Room had zero soundproofing. Could hear the neighbors on either side, as well as the wedding going on all night behind us. The mini fridge made noise all night long as well. The door had gaps all around it so we were concerned about pests coming through, as well as the cigarette smoke from our neighbors drifting under it. Also the wifi did not reach our room so couldn’t even connect to it. Poor hotel for a beautiful little town.

We were originally in the 2nd floor at the hotel. It desperately needs updated furniture and carpets and repairs and a good cleaning. We talked with front desk staff and she upgraded us at no charge for a room in the chalets. Although it was a significant improvement, updated and repaired furniture and carpets are needed there, along with a good cleaning! The female desk staff was very helpful and super nice or we probably wouldn’t have stayed. Not worth the cost.

The picture postcard impressions of this hotel are not even close to reality. We booked two rooms and rejected our first offering as one had a broken window closer with no flyscreen, the second room just stank beyond belief. We were shown to an alternate room (two bedroom family room) and rejected that also. It had been used by a smoker (despite this being supposedly not permitted in the hotel) and the lingering smoke residue was not suitable for an asthmatic. The bathroom in this room was also a disgrace as the only place one could apply makeup was in the actual toilet which had bad lighting and zero bench/storage space. The bathroom had no mirrors at all and very bad light. The staff moved us to a chalet which was acceptable but still not up to the value of the very expensive rooms we booked. Furnishings old and shabby, bed way too soft (old?) TV totally non functional. As has been mentioned in other posts, this could be a nice hotel if the owners would just update and maintain it., But they are clearly more interested in their room full of gaming machines which was new, clean and obviously meticulously maintained. This is not a good hotel. It is a pub (apparently the food is good but we never tried it) full of pokie machines with a few very badly maintained bedrooms attached. The staff were fantastic and did an excellent job trying to help us but the reality is that there are far better alternatives available at much cheaper prices.

From reception with Sara who had kindly upgraded me! Yes how exciting! To James in the bistro the service was excellent. I really enjoyed the size of the room and the tranquility and outlook to the garden. My meal was lovely and the bistro has 2 TV’s on different stations plus 3 billiard tables. Very enjoyable stay.

Rooms very neglect & not clean at all lights not working stains on walls & bedding, dust & dirt, bathroom fan very noisy needs maintenace, couldnt see reflection in mirrors from dust, carpet filthy & furniture broken particularly bedhead detached from wall, entire room extremely outdated, staff were very helpful apologised & understanding gave us a free meal, but nldidnt include drinks or side's or dessert. Rooms are nothing like what we saw on line when booking, we are not fussy & generally happy with basic as long as its clean we're happy but these rooms were far from that for the money we paid very disappointed, felt particularly sorry for the wonderful staff having to deal with this. Really would appreciated at least half our money back.
