Acoyapa Vacation Rentals

"The views from this place are stunning! Great view of the lake on both sides of the island, as well as a great view of the volcano (we came during rainy season so it was mostly covered by clouds). The food selection is a bit limited and not the best we had on trip, but still good! The best part about this stay was their massage service, I didn’t catch her name but WOW she did an amazing job and it was only $35 USD for an hour of the best massage I’ve ever gotten. The local cat Coco who sleeps on the property is so sweet and cuddly! My one complaint about this stay is that the main road was closed (not sure how it is normally), so you’re required to travel up a pretty steep and sketchy dirt road that is filled with large rocks - only certain types of cars can make it and it floods whilst raining. To get to the main road you need a way down this dirt road, which is probably a little over a mile. I felt too sketched out to go down it on the ATV’s you can rent (for $70 USD a day), but then you must pay for a driver down. So, overall, the views are amazing but in order for those views you need to sacrifice being a bit out of the way. We rented an all day driver for $75 USD who took us to the chocolate farm, ojo de agua, and playa de mango - all were AMAZING! (My other complaint is that the mosquitoes here are out of control, my boyfriend got eaten alive. The rooms have a bug net over the bed but other than that have some openings to the outside, so we did have a cockroach)"

"DO NOT BOOK THIS PLACE! BEWARE, SCAM! First, the place was in shambles, complete disarray. Second, nobody was attending, we had to find the contact number and call the owner, who showed up about an hour later after we arrived at check in time. Then he refused to grant us a room and demanded we pay double the rate agreed upon. We asked that he issue a refund and he accepted, but when Hotels.com/Expedia asked for consent, he refused to grant the refund. "

"The place was not very far from the Moyogalpa, yet it seemed so surreal and quiet off of the main road. The guard was very attentive to service and respectful. The cabin was felt so cozy and the environment was very inviting. The cabin came with every amenity you need from a fridge to a stove and a coffee pot. Upon arrival, we received a very rare but pleasing welcome to Ometepe brief with good places to tour to on a map with some coffee. It felt very personalized for such a great price. If you want to feel disconnected from the city and off grid style vacation, this is the spot to go! "

"We had a lovely stay in Selvista! The location was perfect, close to so many great activities on Ometepe. The property itself is beautiful, with amazing views and peaceful surroundings. Everything was clean and well taken care of, and the staff was very warm and welcoming. The food was also really good, we felt well taken care of the whole time. Definitely a spot we’d recommend to anyone visiting the island!"
