Ramada Hotel & Conference Center by Wyndham Kelowna

"I have stayed at this hotel a number of times. As usual, the staff is above board, they help in any way they can. The hotel is always clean with good beds to enable a well rest before moving on. The location of the hotel is great, it’s near any shopping and dining needs you may have as well as having a good access within easy distance to travel on with the major highways near it’s location. The cost of the hotel is of good value and I would recommend it to anybody going thru the area."

The breakfast was great, a good variety of cereals, eggs, bread, jam & fruits were made available every morning. We had a wonderful stay at the Dillworth Inn, Kelowna & very impressed with the staff ‘s work. We may stay there again on our next visit to the Okanagan."

Sandman Hotel & Suites Kelowna

"We were a little disappointed this time. The hotel has been undergoing renovations for years, which was a bit annoying when the pool and hot tub were not available last year. The room we got this year was again in the tower (687) however, the cupboards had something white sprayed all over them - and I mean everywhere, (they are wood color) the shampoo and conditioner dispensers were held up by green painters tape in the shower, the toilet paper holder was not properly affixed to the wall so the TP fell off of it of you weren't careful, the sliding mirror closet door was missing in the bedroom and one of the doors where the in suite laundry was supposed to be was gone as was the washer and dryer. There were no bar stools at the sit up counter in the kitchen like there always is in other rooms - part of the reason we get a suite with a kitchenette. Typically we have had good experiences, but this year I was REALLY disappointed with the disrepair of the room. If I am paying close to $400 a night, I expect better. The parking lot is always over full with small tight spaces, so if you have anything bigger than a small sedan, expect tight parking with barely enough room to open your doors (this has always been an issue there though and something we simply deal with)."

"Overall, our stay was good, and the hotel is a new, modern property. Our room was clean and had comfortable beds for our family of five. However, there are a few things that could be improved. The hotel has five floors and around 200 rooms, but only one elevator, which resulted in some waiting. The parking area is also quite small for the size of the property. The continental breakfast was good, although the selection was fairly limited. In the room, there was only a coffee machine—no electric kettle or tea bags. There were also no clear instructions regarding the quality or safety of the tap water. Considering that we paid $465 plus taxes per night, I would have expected at least a few complimentary bottles of water as a minimum. During check-in, I asked whether it would be possible to upgrade to a larger or better room, as we were a family of five. I was told that this wasn't possible because the reservation had been made through a third-party provider (Expedia). While I understand there may be restrictions on third-party bookings, it would have been nice to have more flexibility or at least a clear explanation of the available options. Overall, the hotel has a lot of potential, but at this price point, we expected a few more amenities and a higher level of service."
