"Another superb stay at The Clayton, we won't stay anywhere else when in Leeds. I rang ahead and spoke to Emma on Reception to let her know we were coming to celebrate a belated Birthday and when we got to the room there were balloons, a banner and a card which was such a lovely touch. We always upgrade to a Deluxe room (about an extra £20-£30) and they are on higher floors so seem a lot quieter than lower floors. Parking is right underneath the hotel with a lift taking you straight up to reception - £14 for 24 hours which you cant grumble with at all for city centre parking. You could tell there had been some reinvestment as the lifts had been renovated, the bathroom was great with a lovely double length walk in rainfall shower. Extremely comfy beds, had a great night sleep and really appreciated an optional fan provided in the room as it was hot weather when we stayed. Breakfast was hot and plentiful as always, love that you can make a coffee to takeaway too - bit disappointed that there were no fried eggs or fried bread readily available this time but I'm sure if I'd asked, they would have cooked some. Ventured out to the city centre shops and a restaurant in the evening, no problem for reception to book us a taxi and it was only £5 on way, bargain for a Saturday night! Immediately looking at diaries to see when we can come again - best hotel in the UK nevermind Leeds!"
