I didn’t expect to be this impressed—especially since that same month I had already stayed in three different hotels across three countries: Port Harcourt (Nigeria), Doha (Qatar), and Singapore. Each of those was nice in its own way, but Kempinski outshone them all by a long mile. The staff alone set the tone—responsive, genuinely joyful in the way they attended to every request. Then came the food: the buffet was a world tour on its own, with endless options and champagne right on the menu. From my room, the pool view was incredible, and the complimentary sauna and steam bath made the experience feel even more indulgent. What really sealed it was the personal touch.
