The hotel was basically ok. What turned out to be extremely annoying was a small incident, but one symbolic of extreme miscommunication between staff and guest. For some reason never revealed the hotel could not access the payment from Expedia. They tried for three days. Finally using my skype phone I spent two hours with the front desk communicating with Expedia until the problem was solved. Two hours time and skype phone money.
During the stay I broke a drinking class, and at checkout was charged with the breakage (alleged cost N 500). By the letter of the law, correct. By the spirit? After two hours, skype money... good samaritanship on my part, I found the request for N 500 nothing short of obtuse.
