Not a great experience. The room light fixtures were missing bulbs, TV was not working, lack of a full roll of toilet paper, no coffee maker, no breakfast, vending machine also inoperable. The good - location, free parking.

The staff at the front desk when I arrived was nice. When I got up to the floor that my ro was on, there was messes everywhere up & down both sides of the hall. There was a box springs mattress left in front of the vending machines to where you couldn’t get to it or the ice machine. They were renovating the hotel so I could understand it being a little messy, but the way they left everything was ridiculous. The next morning when I was leaving, they had trash cans on opposite sides of the hallway blocking the walkway & I could barely fit through there. The room was a decent size though & was fairly clean. The ac/heat unit’s buttons were messed up & unreadable, so you couldn’t tell what you were switching it too or what speed it was going too.

This hotel had everything we needed. Our room was clean and cold! The property is older, but I was satisfied with the cleanliness and the staff was nice. I would stay here again.

made a lot upgrades, the past reviews can honestly disregarded. check in was fast and smooth, beds were very comfortable, TVs are large and very up to date, all rooms have mini fridge, microwave and coffee pot.

Was quiet, safe. Dog friendly. Decent and clean enough. Property had wear but overall a very good deal. Sheets and towels were clean and comfy. Quiet southside place to stay, and not far from Camp Barkley for our dog to get her wiggles out. Breakfast was good. Waffles are always fun!

Good and Bad

Staff at desk when ee checked in was very friendly and helpful. But i had to go back fown to front desk bc we had 1 bath towel, 1 washcloth, no hand towels and one lamp was missing a light bulb. The female at the desk when i returned was very aloof and in no hurry to see what i needed. Room was acceptably clean but could have been improved on. Free breakfast was slim pickings but I guess you get what you dont pay for! Bed was comfortable and room was a nice size.

Stop and get full of Great dinner.

Room ok but only 1 towel for 3 adults. Made 3 attempts at desk to acquire additional towels. Pillows need an upgrade bad. Busy motel. Possibly understaffed night manager. Some wear in room. Amazing food across the street at "Golden Chipstick' made the average room and limited breakfast worth the stay.

Hotel from hell. Staff from Heaven!!

The hotel was run down and the maintenance was done poorly. The carpet had holes and water stains. Television was not working properly, only 1 channel worked, volume was stuck on low. The remote only turned the tv on and off. The bed sheet had a large tear where it tucked under the mattress. The pillow cases had mold stains spots. The light above the vanity was hanging crooked. The staff was excellent!!! They are the only reason I didn’t leave.

Dirty and total Scam

This place was horrible. We got to our room, and it was open. There were no towels, shampoo soap, and toilet paper. The bed had blood on the sheets. The comforter had holes in it. Had problems with the tv. Asked for a different room and was denied and disrespectful. We had to leave due to an emergency reason and was denied a refund the 4 days remaining. STAY AWAY FROM THIS HOTEL. HAS FLEAS. They don't clean up the dog poop it was everywhere. Didn't fall safe in this hotel. The side door was broken, and anyone could just walk in. Will never return to this establishment.

Pay the extra money at stay elsewhere

Good heavens. I just needed an impromptu late night place to sleep a few hours and have a shower at the end of a road trip delayed by thunderstorms. All rooms in Abilene were ridiculously high compared to normal, 200+. This one was over $100 for the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in after years of travel. No A/C anywhere in the hotel except rooms. The front desk guy was miserably hot, but still friendly. Kudos to him. He spent several minutes sorting through a stack of used key jackets to find one with the correct number on it. They reuse them, and they were worn. Yuck. The room took forever to cool down. The bed was rickety to the point I was afraid to turn over too quickly. The mattress literally tipped when I sat down. Chips and food were still on the floor from the last stay. I found no evidence of bedbugs, though, and stayed since it was after midnight and my reservation online was non refundable. Pillows were so old they should have been tossed years ago. The bedding was old, worn, and full of holes. Skimpy thin towels, no soap or shampoo, so I skipped the shower because I was afraid of the tub being dirty. I basically crashed a few hours, redressed, and left quickly. No one was at the desk when I left. I dropped my keys on the front desk and ran. Please listen to me - do not stay at this location. Sketchy people all around, nasty facility. Wish I’d taken pictures, but I just escaped as quickly as I could.
