"What a beautifully unique place to stay! We were in the Gamekeeper's bothy and thoroughly enjoyed it. It was clean and spacious and the wood stove kept us plenty warm! We never saw any red squirrels but I did see a beautiful jay that was so different from the blue jays we have in the US. I would stay here again in a minute!"

It’s stocked with every possible amenity — even an espresso machine and ice maker. The kitchen is well stocked. The host is exceptionally responsive to any questions that may arise. "This hotel is well kept and quiet considering it sits just off Union Street and close to one of the main roads through Aberdeen. Breakfast was lovely and the staff were chatty and very friendly. I would come back and stay here. NCP is right next to the hotel although Sat Nav takes you to the exit of the NCP and it’s on a dual carriage way so a bit tricky to get to. After you’ve been around a couple of times you’ll get there lol"

"Stayed for two night with our two and four year olds, breakfast as part of the booking. Very well set up for kids and families, especially younger ones. Get what you pay for. Breakfast was super busy between 7am and 8am as hotel has coach trips staying over which stretches it to it's capacity, no coffee cups available and no bread etc. Went for breakfast laster second morning and was more manageable. Location very good and pool area great for the kids. Nice location down by river behind football pitch if you can scale the incline."
