Trips to Ahus are perfect for travellers in search of sunny beaches. Ahus is well known for its beautiful coastline, and has been a popular sea resort since the 1800s, when direct beach trains would transport sun worshippers from nearby Kristianstad. The Hano Bay is an excellent place to walk on long beaches bordered by thick fir-forests, and offers both plenty of busy swimming spots and more private locations for relaxing. The beach Tappetstranden as well as the beach in Aspet Nature Reserve are both ideal beaches for families and Aspet is also a great choice for visitors who appreciate outdoor adventures.
If you're planning on travelling to Ahus during the spring you can't miss your chance to spot cranes in Pulken Nature Reserve. The reserve's wetlands attract thousands of cranes, unmistakably marking the arrival of spring.
